It’s official, EastEnders fans; Dean Wicks is finally going to be punished for raping Linda Carter [Kellie Bright].
The Walford hairdresser - played by Matt Di Angelo - raped his sister-in-law in a hard-hitting storyline last year, but the character has so far gone unpunished for his actions, as police dropped charges due to lack of evidence.
But, as we previously speculated, this year’s big Christmas and New Year’s episodes are going to see justice delivered.
In the form of a wetsuit-clad Danny Dyer.
"There's a big resolution coming up in the New Year. Danny's been fitted for a wetsuit, he's going into some water, that's all I can say," EastEnders boss Dominic Treadwell-Collins told the Radio Times TV Festival.
The show's executive producer admitted that the stunt will focus around the rape storyline involving Linda Carter.
"There will be justice. And how it's meted out will be satisfying but shocking too.”
Reiterating that Dean will get what's coming to him, the real-life Mick Carter added: "The geezer’s going to get it.
“Don’t worry. He’s going to get it."
