Mick (Danny Dyer) and Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) haven’t had the easiest few years, so you’d be forgiven for hoping that everyone’s favourite couple might deserve some happiness.

However, as is always the case in Albert Square, it seems as if the duo are fated for yet more heartbreak.

It all begins when Mick organises a special lunch for his beloved wife, begging wayward daughter Nancy (Maddie Hill) to attend.

Despite her ingoing feud with brother Lee (Danny-Boy Hatchard), Nancy soon feels compelled to attend when her dad shows her a box of the Mother’s Day cards she’s sent to Linda over the years.

Intending to bury the hatchet, Nancy arrives at the Queen Vic for the family get together.

But, when she learns that Lee has quit the job at the Rat that he beat Nancy to get to, the atmosphere quickly turns sour.

Launching into a vicious argument, Lee and Nancy are soon throwing punches - and it’s not long before they wind up hurting someone they both love very, very much.

Yes, little Ollie Carter is caught up in the fight, and the family are left in shock when the tiny tot is knocked from his highchair to the floor.

Mick soon snaps, smashing a chair and throwing Lee and Nancy out of the pub - but will baby Ollie be okay following his fall?

And, more importantly, will this be the wake-up call the warring siblings need to set their differences aside?

EastEnders airs these scenes on Monday 7 and 8 March.
