EastEnders spoilers: Whitney kisses Mick Carter - but will he cheat on Linda?

Mick and Linda Carter are, without a doubt, our favourite soap couple of all time.

But there’s a chance their happy relationship could be thrown into jeopardy when Whitney (Shona McGarty), who has been getting too close for comfort for a while, makes a move on the pub landlord next week.

Whitney is currently dating Lee Carter (Danny-Boy Hatchard), but recent episodes have hinted that she has a HUGE crush on her boyfriend’s dad.

So, when Mick supports her during a fight with his daughter, Nancy (Maddy Hill), Whitney decides to make the most of their time alone together.

Sitting with Mick in his car, she asks him if it’s impossible to love two people at once - and Mick, blissfully unaware of Whitney’s feelings for him, offers the troubled young woman some advice.

However Whitney mistakes Mick’s kindness for something more - and quickly leans in for a kiss.

Will Mick be tempted to cheat on Linda?

Danny Dyer, who plays the dad-of-four, recently vowed that he wants Mick to stay loyal to his beloved L, played by the very talented Kellie Bright.

He told Radio Times: "From the off, Kellie and I agreed that we can't be doing the 'affair' thing.”

However he DID add that there is some trouble ahead for the couple - and that it may upset some viewers.

He said: “We've got some stuff coming up that's going to freak some people out, which is around that sort of thing.

“That's all I can tell you. But we want to be the first on-screen couple that doesn't mess about."

Eep! We guess we’ll have to wait and see what he means by that, won’t we…?

EastEnders airs these scenes on Thursday, January 28 at 7.30pm on BBC One.
