When we found out that EastEnders' Kyle Slater was leaving the square we were devastated. Riley Carter Millington does not only play the loveable character but he was the first ever transgender male actor to play a transgender character.

Since Kyle joined the square in 2015 we discovered that Stacey and Sean Slater’s dad Brian had another family and Kyle was in fact their half-brother, we saw him reveal that he is transgender and was previously called Sarah, attempt to shake Andy Flynn off a ladder (even though that’s how his dad died) and discover that Stephen Beale set up the burglary in the restaurant.

In September it was confirmed that Kyle was leaving the square: "Kyle’s storylines on the show came to a natural end for now.

"We can confirm Riley is leaving EastEnders and wish him all the best for the future," a source of the show told the Metro.

Soon EastEnders viewers will have to wave farewell to Kyle because he may be moving abroad for a fancy new job. In upcoming scenes Kyle will be offered a dream job and although at first he turns it down to support the family who are struggling financially (cute) he then talks to Martin and decides to take the job.

It’s not long before something else makes him question his decision, so will Kyle head it for a better life away from the Square? Or will he stick around for his family?
