As EastEnders fans will know, Martin Fowler is blissfully unaware of the fact that he is not the father of Stacey’s baby son, Arthur.
In fact, Arthur’s father is one of Martin’s closest friends, Kush Kazemi (Davood Ghadami), following his one night stand with Stacey (Lacey Turner) last year.
But, as always is the case in Albert Square, the truth will come out.
On 22nd February, Martin is handed a letter from Stacey (Lacey Turner) after the nurse assumed he dropped it.
And, when he settles down to read it at home, his world is absolutely shattered: Arthur isn’t his son.
Martin is in shock following his discovery and soon arrives at the hospital with Arthur.
It doesn't take long for Stacey to realise that all is not well, forcing Martin to produce the letter.
Stacey is horrified to realise that the truth is out... but what will Martin do about it?
Can the couple salvage their relationship?
Speaking on ITV’s This Morning, James Bye - who plays Martin - teased: "It gets laid on quite thick for Martin. That isn't the only thing.
“More things happen to him."
When asked whether Stacey and Martin’s fragile relationship can survive the bombshell, he added: “It's not going to be the best news he's ever heard.
“I’m interested to see how they're going to do it.
"I think I've said it before but it's going to be a sink or swim moment for Martin."
