Just like any good EastEnders fan, we’re already busy wondering what the soap’s festive episodes will have in store for us.

And, looking at several hints from cast members, it seems as if it will be firmly focused on the Carter family.

Speaking with OK! magazine in a recent interview, Danny Dyer teased that, despite co-star Kellie Bright's busy schedule with Strictly Come Dancing, big things are coming up for the Carter family.

Asked for any spoilers, he said: "Where do I start? We've got loads coming up.

"New Year's Day is proper! It's all about the Carters."

Could EastEnders fans finally be about to see Dean Wicks [Matt Di Angelo] get his comeuppance for raping Linda Carter [Kellie Bright]?

The Walford hairdresser - played by Matt Di Angelo - sexually attacked his sister-in-law in a hard-hitting storyline last year, but the character has so far gone unpunished for his actions, as police dropped charges due to lack of evidence.

But Danny, who plays Linda’s loving husband Mick, has hinted that justice will be served.

He told Inside Soap magazine: “I know I have got some more stuff coming up with him, and if and when the truth comes out, all the people who have supported him will have egg in their faces.”

Meanwhile the soap’s executive producer Dominic Treadwell-Collins previously assured viewers that there are still more shocks in store for the storyline.

"There will be justice. And how it's meted out will be satisfying but shocking too," he said.

Meanwhile it seems as if the Carter family are building up to a big story for both Nancy [Maddy Hill] and Lee [Danny-Boy Hatchard], whom are battling depression and epilepsy respectively.

Either way, it looks set to be a very meaty Christmas - and it seems as if Kellie Bright, despite appearing in this year’s Strictly Come Dancing, is going to be VERY busy indeed.

Guess we'll just have to wait for those festive storylines to be confirmed, eh?
