Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned - and, when that woman is Ronnie Mitchell, you’re in for a WORLD of pain.
As EastEnders viewers are all too aware, Ronnie (Samantha Womack) had a car crash on New Year’s Day and wound up comatose in intensive coma.
Cue Roxy Mitchell (Rita Simons) seeking comfort in the arms of Charlie Cotton (Declan Bennett) - who just so happens to be Ronnie’s husband. Awkward.
Ronnie may have offered the duo her forgiveness, but, as it turns out, trust is a tricky thing to get back.
During Monday’s episode, we watched as she learned that Charlie had secretly been planning Nick’s funeral - and that he wanted Roxy, not his wife, there as his shoulder to cry on.
Cue a very intense conversation - and a tearful Ronnie smashing her wedding photo into a million pieces.
Increasingly paranoid, she is set to turn to Vincent (Richard Blackwood) for help - before coming up with a twisted plan to find out what her sister and her husband have REALLY been up to behind her back.
Devastated by what she learns, Ronnie takes drastic action - and asks Ben and Abi to prepare a dinner for Roxy and Charlie to apologise for her accusations.
Once alone, an oblivious Roxy assures Charlie that everything is fine and that Ronnie is back to normal, but she couldn’t be more wrong.
What does Ronnie have planned? One thing’s for sure, it can’t be good.
After all, Dominic Treadwell-Collins, the soap’s boss, has hinted that the blonde murderess is set to become one of the show’s greatest villains of all time ever.
Speaking of upcoming story lines, he said: "Ronnie will have a big story.
"The question with Ronnie is 'Is she her father’s daughter?' And I think with Ronnie we are going to see how somebody becomes a villain.
"I keep talking about Darth Vader. The making of a villain. Not a soap bitch, but a villain."
EastEnders airs these scenes on tonight [Tuesday, June 9th] on BBC One.
