Gavin Sullivan (Paul Nicholas) has become one of EastEnders’s biggest villains of late, and more drama is set to unfold when he returns to Walford.

Gavin’s sister Margaret (Jan Harvey) is set to arrive on Albert Square to warn Sharon that he’s been acting strangely lately.

However her fears are dismissed as Sharon is focused on Peggy Mitchell’s funeral.

Meanwhile, Kathy (Gillian Taylforth) is continuing her secret affair with Buster Briggs and, when the pair are almost caught by Ian, they plan to get away from Walford for a day to spend some time alone.

When poor Buster (Karl Howman) is stood up, he's left fuming.

But what he doesn’t know is that Gavin has, in fact, dropped a HUGE bombshell on Kathy.

Yup, he's only gone and kidnapped Dennis.

Feeling she has no choice, Kathy reluctantly agrees to go with Gavin to keep Dennis safe – but this is all Gavin’s big plan to take Kathy back.

Eep!

Sharon (Letitia Dean) soon learns from Dennis that he’s been back in touch with his granddad, and when Buster spots Kathy in Gavin’s car he rushes to tell Sharon what he saw – and she realises it’s Kathy who is truly in danger.

But what does the villain have planned for Kathy?

Later, Margaret arrives to try and reason with Gavin – and Kathy soon learns she’s fallen for another one of his traps and that her life is on the line.

With Gavin prepared to go to serious lengths, and Sharon and Buster desperate to rescue Kathy – how far will the villain go to get his estranged wife back?

Is someone about to lose their life?

EastEnders airs these scenes Tuesday 5 July at 7:30pm on BBC One.
