Denise Fox is forced to take some drastic action next week in EastEnders
Things haven't been great for Denise Fox for a while now in Walford. She recently had to make the heartbreaking decision to give her newborn son up for adoption after realising she couldn't care for him. She embarked on a relationship with younger man, Kush Kazemi, which seemed destined to hit the skids when her friend - and Kush's mum - Carmel disapproved. Now she's struggling to feed herself after quitting her job at the Minute Mart.
Denise's pride takes a further battering next week when she attends an interview at the job centre about benefits.
After a long wait, Denise is told they can't help her with her application and she leaves empty handed. When she returns to the Job Centre later in the week, she receives more disappointing news.
With no food, it's suggested that she visits a food bank.
A broken Denise heads to the food bank, but gets a shock when she discovers Cora Cross working there.
Embarrassed, Denise turns and flees, still without any food.
