This week, Denise's storyline took a dramatic twist which saw 'Enders viewers absolutely livid.
Fans were left in shock as skint Denise ate a half-eaten chicken meal from a BIN after the struggling Walford local had earlier refused help from a food bank.
At first, Denise was adament she wasn't to visit the food bank, despite struggling to make ends meet because she feared 'other people's judgement'. But, after some persuasion from Cora Cross, Denise finally agrees to some help and began to leave the food bank with two shopping bags full of groceries.
However, on her way out, Denise spots a single mum crying at the centre being turned away for not having a voucher. Denise makes a beeline for her children and hands them her shopping bags, telling them 'give these to mummy, she needs them more than I do.'
Cora then tries to give Denise some money, which Denise refuses telling her, 'I'll survive.'
However, later on Denise spots some teens throwing away a half-eaten chicken meal and out of desperation, fishes it out of the bin when they have gone.
