EastEnders spoilers: Claudette Vincent’s murderous past exposed by Leon Lopez?

EastEnders fans are convinced that Claudette Hubbard (Ellen Thomas) is a cold-blooded killer.

She and her son, Vincent (Richard Blackwood), have been gunning for the Mitchell family ever since they arrived in Walford, with Vincent eventually revealing that he wants revenge for his dad’s murder.

So much so that he even turned “super-grass” for the police.

How are the Mitchell family involved?

Well, we recently learned that Claudette told her son that his dad, Henry Hubbard, had been killed by Phil’s dad, Eric Mitchell, on Christmas Eve when a dodgy job went wrong.

But Phil has since told Vincent in no uncertain terms that this is a lie; there’s no way that Eric could have killed Henry.

Now, we already know that Claudette has a secret, and that Aunt Sal has threatened her with outing it.

Plus there’s the fact that Vincent’s mum was extremely unimpressed when she discovered her criminal son was working FOR the police.

Seems like a recipe for a VERY suspicious backstory, if you ask us.

So what did happen to Henry Hubbard - was he murdered by his not-so-loving wife?

It seems as if we’re set to find out very soon, as a new player is entering the game.

Digital Spy have reported that former Brookside actor Leon Lopez has been cast as yet another of Claudette’s foster children, Linford, and he’s apparently set to make his EastEnders debut soon.

Leon, who is thought to have already begun filming scenes for the BBC One soap, said: "I'm so excited to be working on EastEnders and still can't believe it!

"It really is a dream come true."

We wonder what secrets his character will have to share…?

EastEnders airs tonight [Friday 15th January] on BBC One at 8pm.
