Bobby’s parents Ian and Jane have been covering for their young son ever since – insisting he didn’t know the damage he’d caused when he struck Lucy with the music box.
Now Laurie Brett, who plays Jane, revealed the troubled youngster will PUSH her down the stairs in a new storyline.
Speaking to Radio Times, Laurie confessed Jane and Bobby will get into an argument when she suggests he moves bedrooms.
She said: “They get into a bit of a struggle with the box of things and he just snaps.
“It’s unfortunate Jane was at the top of the stairs at this point. I don’t think he intentionally pushed her.”
But Laurie did confirm the ‘accident’ finally opens Jane’s eyes to the fact Bobby could have something seriously wrong with him.
Laurie continued: “She’s in shock and a little bit frightened. Bobby’s face just before he did it wasn’t quite right.
“It’s not that Jane is just realising there might be something wrong with Bobby. I think she’s just always in denial. But it’s getting to a point where she can’t ignore it anymore.”
