Stacey is rushed into hospital and gives birth to a baby girl, but there are fears for both mum and baby…
A heavily pregnant Stace is under immense pressure, she’s got Arthur’s health problems on her mind, her hubby Martin has recently been doing time behind bars and then, just to top it all off, she gets a visit from social services, (thank you Carmel).
Not surprisingly it all gets too much for the frazzled mum but and there are fears for her health when she suddenly starts fitting. Martin is beside himself, worrying about Stacey’s health and next week things take a dramatic turn when Stacey is rushed to hospital in an ambulance.
Once there, the doctors inform the Fowlers that there are complications and they are going to do an emergency Caesarean. A teary Martin is an emotional wreck, fearing not just for his baby’s life but for his wife’s too.
Soon after, he’s able to breath a big sigh of relief when the doctors deliver a baby girl. Well done Stace! However his joy is short-lived when he’s told that Stacey is in a critical condition and there are serious complications concerning the baby’s health too.
As their baby girl is whisked away, Stacey starts to pull through - she's tough that one- and later on the couple are able to go and see their baby girl in the specialist unit. However it's not looking good. As the fragile tot fights for her life, the Fowler pair are overcome with emotion.
Will their little baby survive or is there yet more heartache about to pour down on Stacey and Martin?
