EastEnders resident conniving so and so, played by Annette Badland, will leave the soap next year, after over two years on the square.
However, Shirley and Tina Carter’s meddling aunt will reportedly always be ‘waiting in the wings’ to come back and cause havoc.
A BBC insider confirmed to Metro: "Prior to living in The Vic, Aunt Babe was seen coming and going from The Square with her own life away from Walford. She will still very much be in the wings and could well continue to cause aggro for the Carter family."
Babe has been the backbone of many storylines during her stint on the soap - from blackmailing Pam and Les Coker, to helping Abi Branning fake her pregnancy. She will definitely leave Walford with LOADS of enemies in tow.
A whopping 12 characters are set to leave EastEnders over the coming months, leaving fans (and us) feeling uncertain about the soaps future.
Why the huge shake up? Will they bring in new characters to replace the ones that are leaving?
Sean O'Connor, the show's new executive producer, could be the reason behind all the exits. A source recently told The Sun that 'several of the actors are waiting with bated breath, convinced that Sean's axe will start swinging again'.
Big names like Ronnie and Roxy Mitchell, Lee Carter, Massood Ahmed, Buster Briggs, Pam and Les Coker, Claudette Hubbard and Kyle Slater are waving goodbye to the soap for good.
Linda Carter and Sonia Fowler are also popping off on maternity for six months – which feels like an eternity in soap world.
How do you feel about all this? Who do you think will be the next to quit?
Please not Mick Carter (Danny Dyer), pretty please. praying hands emoji
