Walford newcomer Mark Fowler Jnr has definitely been a hit with EastEnders viewers with his flirty antics with the women of Walford to his Danny DeVito esque good looks. We’d love him to stick around for a while, wouldn’t you?

As viewers may already know, Mark Fowler Jnr is blissfully unaware that his dad is the infamous Grant Mitchell. So his flirtation with his daughter Courtney is completely innocent…for now.

We’ve seen the pair exchange flirty glances as they all headed off to the Notting Hill Carnival.

“Courtney Mitchell, don’t believe we’ve met,” she asked.

“Only in my dreams,” he responded.

Could EastEnders be heading for an incest storyline? Or will Courtney and Mark figure out they’re related before it’s too late?

Eagled eyed EastEnders fans think that the writers are definitely going down a controversial route…

This isn’t the first time soaps have introduced incest into their plot lines. Brookside producer Phil Redmond was forced to admit that the brother and sister romance between Nat and Georgia Simpson in 1996 ‘went too far’.

It was considered so shocking an MP urged viewers to complain "in their millions".

However, times have changed and soaps are now known for breaking taboo and tackling tough and sometimes controversial subjects.

Remember Lauren Branning’s fling with her cousin Joey? Yep, that happened.
