WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD

Fans of EastEnders have wanted Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa) and Peter Beale (Ben Hardy) to get it together for a while now.

But, in the episode shown on Tuesday 30th September, it seemed as if their chance at love was thoroughly doomed when Peter, unable to watch as Lauren continued her relationship with Dean (Matt Di Angelo), decided to pack his bags and fly off to New Zealand.

HOW WILL JACQUELINE JOSSA'S PREGNANCY AFFECT EASTENDERS' LAUREN BRANNING?

Thankfully, Lauren decided to dump Dean that very same day - and, after being handed Peter's goodbye note, rushed off to track him down before he can go.

But will she have been too late?

She's finally said those three magical words - and it gave us goosebumps just watching! - but Peter's expression is unreadable as he gently pushes her away.

We really hope it'll be enough to stop him leaving Walford (via train, because obviously). We really, truly do.
