The Taylor's may be new in Walford, but actress Lorraine Stanely has appeared in EastEnders before...
It's always exciting when new characters appear one of our favourite soaps, so the news that a whole new family are joining EastEnders is like all our Christmasses at once!
The Taylor family - consisting of mum Karen and her children Keanu, Bernadette, Riley and Chatham (not to mention dog Bronson, bearded dragon Rooney and older off-screen daughter Chantelle!) - are sure to cause all kinds of havoc in the square.
But if you think you've seen Karen Taylor - played by actress Lorraine Stanley - in Walford before, you're correct, as Linda has played not one, but TWO other EastEnders characters in the past!
The actresses first EastEnders appearance came way back in 2004, when she played a young Mo in a spin-off about Mo and Pat's friendship in the 60s, before they became mortal enemies.
Lorraine's second - and far more recent - appearance in EastEnders was just last year, when she appeared in eight episodes as Thelma Bragg.
For those who don't remember, Thelma was friends with Linda Carter, and Jay Brown in the Vic after it emerged that he'd slept with her underage daughter, Linzi, when she was just 14.
Talking about finally landing a leading role in the soap, Lorraine said: "I’m chuffed to be cast in such an iconic show that I’ve grown up watching. Working with my new family is really quite special, and I’m proud to play their mum."
But Lorraine's not the only member of the Taylor family you might recognise. Her (super-hot) son, Keanu is played by Danny Walters, who plays Tiger Dyke in Benidorm!
