EastEnders actor Davood Ghadami, who stars in the soap as Kush Kazemi, has revealed when his on-screen girlfriend Kat Slater will be back on our screens after actress Jessie Wallace was allegedly suspended following an on-set incident earlier this year.

The 48 year old actress was reportedly hauled in for an emergency meeting by soap bosses following the incident, with her character Kat being temporarily written out when she told Kush she urgently needed to leave Walford.

But Davood has let slip that Kat will be back on screens when EastEnders returns from its hiatus later this year as Jessie has returned to filming with the rest of the cast.

Speaking on EastEnders: Secrets of the Square, he explained, “Kush's experience in lockdown is very, very different.

“The last thing we saw was him having a bit of difficulty with Jean and trying to sort it out but going about it the wrong way. But he's forgiven by Jean and let back into 31, so he's in 31 with all the kids, with Jean, with Mo, with Shirley... and we also have Kat back, so they actually spend lockdown together.”
