EastEnders fans will definitely remember Syed Masood, who made TV history by becoming the first openly gay Muslim character in soap.
However it’s safe to say that a lot of us also remember Syed fondly for his floppy hair, puppy-dog eyes, and captivating good looks.
Since then, Marc Elliot - who played the character - has stayed out of the limelight.
But he is set to return to our weekday telly schedules with a bang as Doctor Isaac Mayfield in BBC One’s Holby City.

Yay!
However, looking at his first appearance on the medical drama, it seems as if Marc is sporting a VERY different look nowadays.
Check it out:
That’s right, he’s lopped off his hair and shaved off all that sexy stubble.
The result?
Well, let’s be honest, he could be bald and we’d still find him gorgeous!
It seems as if Doctor Isaac Mayfield aka Marc Elliot is set to send shockwaves across Holby City.
Better still, he also seems set to catch the eye of his colleague Doctor Dominic Copeland (David Ames).

Could there be romance in the air for these two?
We certainly hope so!
Speaking about his latest casting, Marc said: “I am so pleased to be joining the lovely and incredibly welcoming cast of Holby City, and very much looking forward to playing this complex and flawed character.
"My twin sister was born with the brains and has been working as a fully qualified veterinary surgeon for some years now. I am chuffed that I'm finally going to be able to compete if only in the pretend world!”
Oliver Kent, Executive Producer Holby City, says: “We are delighted to welcome Marc to team Holby and we can’t wait to see him striding the wards of the Hospital.
"Many have asked is Marc Elliot gay in real life?"
"Charming, confident and twinkly, Isaac Mayfield will make a handsome addition to the Keller team and will quickly brighten up Dominic’s life…”
Considering the roles he plays, many have asked is Marc Elliot gay in real life?
He's a private guy, and has kept his sexual orientation out of the public eye, but has spoken up a lot about the importance of portrayals of a gay people in TV, having received wide acclaim for playing Syed.
Good on him!
Marc will be filming with the Holby team for six months, appearing on screen from June.
We can’t wait to see him pacing the corridors at Holby - how about you?
