Ross Kemp (Grant Mitchell) and Martine McCutcheon (Tiffany Mitchell) were reunited on Loose Women today – almost 18 years after their volatile marriage gripped the whole nation on EastEnders.
Tiffany was tragically killed (she was mown down by a car driven by Frank Butcher whilst trying to get daughter Courtney from Grant) on New Year’s Eve 1998, just as the clock struck twelve.
Does that make you feel old? Us too.
When Loose Women revealed that actor-turned-documentary maker Ross Kemp was set to appear on the show to discuss the new series of his show Extreme World – we couldn’t hide our excitement at Tiffany and grant finally being reunited! Eeeeek.
There was also a lot of cute dogs involved too, but that's another story...
And despite the pair keeping in contact over the years, Martine greeted her onscreen ex-husband with a huge bear hug that consequently melted our hearts.
The pair even opened up about their time on EastEnders together, stating that they were ‘a team’ and that they ‘worked so well together.'
Martine said: “It was the best time ever.
“We had each others back, I was 18, Ross watched me grow up.”
Ross then echoed her sentiments: “You see so much when you were there, it was such an intense time.”
Fans went crazy about the super cute reunion, taking to Twitter to share their thoughts:
N'awwwwwwwwww, we love a bit of EastEnders nostalgia!
