Yup, it's official - Kat and Alfie are bringing the festive joy to Eastenders this year, as they will discover that they are expecting a baby!

The on-off couple - played by Shane Richie and Jessie Wallace - reconciled last month after Alfie fled his wedding to Roxy Mitchell (Rita Simons) to chase after Kat and convince her to stay in the country.

The pair's reunion after eleven months apart was watched by 8.1 million viewers when it aired on 26th November - just in time for a very happy and joyful family Christmas. Which, let's face it, is practically unheard of on Albert Square.

The child will be the first for the couple - although Alfie helped to bring up Tommy, Kat's son with his cousin Michael Moon - but the happy festive storyline will not be their first.

Who can forget their Christmas wedding? Or their snowy reconciliation as they drove off into the night to see the world together?

But it's not all about Kat and Alfie, y'know. Ready for some MORE festive spoilers?

Remember Kat and Alife's festive wedding?

Other Christmas storylines in Albert Square include Carol Jackson (Lindsey Coulson) sharing a passionate kiss with former flame David Wicks (Michael French), the arrival of Nikki Spraggan (Rachel Wilde), the ex-wife of Bianca Butcher's (Patsy Palmer) new boyfriend Terry, and the arrival of a brand-new landlord for the Queen Vic.

We're also going to see Mo (Laila Morse) and Charlie Slater (Derek Martin) back in Walford for Christmas Eve. Which will be luvverley!
