We have missed Peter Beale ever since he and Lauren left the square in 2015 to go travelling.
Lauren has since returned to Walford, with Peter's brother Stephen Beale on her arm. C'mon, keep up.
Remember Steven Beale? He attempted to kill Pat Butcher, kidnapped Ian Beale and shot his step-mum Jane. When he returned to the square fans were suspicious of his motives but we all got the shock of our lives when we found out that Steven had been stealing from his family so he could cover his Peters debt.
EastEnders viewers began to speculate whether Steven had killed Peter and that's why he hadn't returned but when Lauren revealed that she had sent a video of baby Louie to Peter we discovered that he was well and truly fine...or so we thought.
Steven revealed that when Peter was in Australia he struggled with his twin sisters - Lucy Beale's – death, started drinking and got himself into a huge amount of debt.
Fans have been dying to find out whether Ben Hardy, who plays Peter, could return to the square and even Aaron Sidwell, who plays Steven, has admitted that he wants Ben to come back: "I would love to see Ben Hardy reprise his role of Peter and to see a showdown between him and Steven for Lauren.
"Peter is always going to be a fixture in the story, considering that he and Lauren have a child together that Steven is raising," he told Inside Soap.
And now Ben – who has been off in America filming X-Men: Apocalypse and is currently filming Granite Mountain - has revealed whether he'd return to the show. On Good Morning Britain he was asked whether he'd return to EastEnders and he replied: "Never say never. Who knows, not in the imminent future."
What a tease!
