We were all a little worried for Duncan James when his Hollyoaks debut hung in the balance after he was rushed to hospital after slipping a disc in his spine in early June.
Posting a picture from his hospital bed, he wrote:
"After a scary and painful op to remove a fragmented disc from my nerve canal I'm happily recovering in hospital feeling in such less pain and happier spirits! Thanks so much for all the well wishes and loving support at this time."
However, you’ll be pleased to know that Duncan has FINALLY filmed his first scenes for the Channel 4 soap as Amy Barnes’ partner Ryan and we’re buzzing to see the results!

He even had time for a selfie with Hollyoaks bad boy Warren Fox (AKA Jamie Lomas), "On my way to set and look who I bump into."

Hollyoaks airs weeknights at 6.30pm on Channel 4.
