Everybody loves Disney, don’t they?

The happy ever afters, the catchy tunes, the gorgeous gowns, the inspiring life lessons, the sassy animal sidekicks - they’ve got it all.

But, as it turns out, some people love Disney films a WHOLE lot more than we thought - because people are willing to shell out THOUSANDS of pounds for them.

Oh yes.

According to E! News our childhood favourites like Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin and The Little Mermaid are going for hundreds, even thousands of dollars on eBay.

To be fair, that one IS in an “unopened black diamond case” - whatever that means.

A Redditor named who Reddit_Executive, per MoviePilot, explained: “On the spines of some VHS (and BetaMax) tapes is a black diamond with Walt’s signature on it.

“This was Disney’s first attempt to market their videos to homes. Because of this, certain Disney collectors are convinced that these VHS tapes are worth something.”

But why are people willing to fork out so much for these nostalgia-filled classics?

We have a feeling it might have something to do with all these live action remakes.

Think Cinderella, Beauty And The Beast, Tim Burton’s upcoming Dumbo, and more.

People are probably looking back at the classics with a newfound fondness, eh?

Either way, it’s definitely inspired us to get up into our lofts and dig out all of those dusty VHS tapes.

After all, we have them all on DVD now - is it SO bad to sell them off for a quick buck?
