S Club 7
Shortly before their split in 2003, four of S Club 7 sat down for one of the most awkward interview EVER.
Jon Lee, Hannah Spearritt, Bradley McIntosh and Jo O’Meara were giving one of many goodbye chats, and they seemed like they really weren’t enjoying the questions.
Why are you breaking up?
Why did you lie about it?
Who wanted to split up the most?
You can see why they got a bit agitated, can’t you? But when the interviewer suggested they were splitting up because they hadn’t earned as much money as they hoped, their PR came storming in and stopped the chat. Cringe.
Kerry Katona
In 2008 Kerry Katona gave one of the most famous interviews of her career – and not for good reasons.
The Atomic Kitten singer appeared on This Morning to chat to Phillip Schofield and Fern Britton, and immediately sparked fears for her well-being with her erratic behaviour and slurred speech.
Phillip tried to carefully ask Kerry, 36, if she was ok, saying: “We have known you for a very long time and, if I’m honest, you don’t seem right to me sitting here now. Your speech is a little bit slurred.”
Kerry insisted it was due to her bipolar medication, but it was later revealed that she was secretly battling a cocaine addiction.
Nicole Scherzinger
She’s known for her brash interview technique, but Wendy Williams overstepped the mark during a recent interview with Nicole Scherzinger.
Nicole, 37, split from long-term boyfriend Lewis Hamilton at the end of 2014, and Wendy tried to suggest the singer had wasted the best of her child-bearing years with the Formula 1 racing driver.
A deadpan Wendy said: “Those are seven years you can never get back and he was really wealthy.”
Thankfully, Nicole managed to handle the extremely intrusive questions with poise and laughed them off.
But, for a show who’s audience is predominantly women, we’re not sure Wendy is sending the best message to her viewers…
Tom Hardy
When you’re interviewing Tom Hardy (or anyone, for that matter) about a new project, it’s probably best not to ask about their sexuality if it has no direct relevance.
Especially if you then try to suggest said celebrity is hiding something.
During a press conference for his latest film Legend, a reporter asked Tom: “In the film, your character Ronnie is very open about his sexuality but given interviews you’ve done in the past, your own sexuality seems a bit more ambitious. Do you find it hard for celebrities to talk to media about their sexuality?”
A clearly baffled Tom – who is happily married to Charlotte Riley – responded: “What on earth are you on about?” The room then erupted in laughter. Bad times for the reporter.
Charlotte Crosby
Poor Charlotte Crosby. She’s on TV, happily promoting her autobiography, and the normally nice and smiley Lorraine Kelly turns on her.
Lorraine questioned whether or not Charlotte, 25, regrets wetting herself on Geordie Shore, to which Charlotte responded that she had absolutely no regrets, and insisted it’s normal.
Cue an argument about wetting yourself after drinking – with Lorraine adamant that, at her age, Charlotte should be able to make her way to the toilet.
Khloe Kardashian
This is a tricky one. During a chat with an Australian show, Khloe Kardashian was asked about her niece North West.
Khloe seemed more than happy to chat about Kim and Kanye’s little girl, and even brought up her other niece, Penelope Disick.
But, when the satellite suddenly cut, the reporters claimed Khloe herself had pulled the plug on the interview.
Khloe later hit back on Twitter, blasting the show for even suggesting she would get mad over being asked about North.
Beyonce
Beyonce is a woman who rarely loses her cool in public, which is why it’s so refreshing to see that even she has a limit.
When you’re an internationally famous superstar, we imagine it gets pretty tiring to be constantly asked about your relationship.
So we totally don’t blame Bey for getting a bit miffed with this interviewer, when he persisted to question her about Jay-Z.
Never get on the wrong side of Beyonce.
