Following an argument with Carla Connor about Nick Tilsley and Leanne Battersby, Peter Barlow finds himself in even worse trouble when he's beaten up by a randomer.
Left bloodied and bruised while the attacker takes off in his cab, Peter is offered a drink by a well-meaning passerby, which triggers a downward spiral.
As Peter finds himself back in hospital after a major relapse, will Carla stand by him?
Elsewhere, Paul Forman reaches the end of his tether at work and quits his job at the factory, but is surprised when Sarah Platt asks him back, saying he's got Tom Grimshaw to thank.
Is it time to extend an olive branch?
Meanwhile, an unsuspecting Craig Tinker accidentally uncovers Ray Crosby's plans to redevelop the street and soon finds himself in a web of corruption as Ray warns him to keep shtum.
Leanne begs Steve McDonald to reconsider his stance on appealing and Sarah and Adam Barlow meet up for a chat.

Meanwhile Sean is excited to make his first sale with his new make-up range and invites Todd, Tyrone, Fiz, Alina and Gemma to Speed-Dahl for a shopping party.

Things get off to a great start but before long Todd turns nasty and makes fun of Sean's new business venture. But Sean isn't having it and warns Todd he knows his game, and to keep his nose out of Billy and Paul's relationship.

But he's soon distracted by Ray's plans to redevelop the street left on his desk. As Craig sifts through the info Ray arrives and warns him to keep his mouth shut.

Later on Craig calls in at the furniture shop and 'casually' quizzes Gary about the new building project, but Gary cottons on and warns Ray that Craig is onto them.

Determined to keep Craig on side, Ray says he'll put in a good word for him with the Chief Inspector and offers Faye the role of trainee manager across his entire hotel and restaurant chain.

Faye is over the moon at her promotion while Craig masks his unease, and Ray warns him that if he spills, he'll make sure he loses his job in the police force and Faye will no longer be trainee manager.

Leanne Battersby and Steve McDonald have been fighting a valiant fight to save Oliver Battersby's life after he was diagnosed with mitochondrial disease back in June.
But with a full recovery looking less and less likely and their legal fees already through the roof, this week will see the final verdict reached on whether or not the hospital will continue to fund his life support.
