It looks like there’s conflict on the cobbles as two of Coronation Street’s biggest stars have had a very public fall out on social media.
Replying to a query on Twitter, Sally Ann Mathews, who plays Jenny Connor on the soap, told a fan that they could write into the studio for an autograph. She tweeted, “Write to us at Trafford Wharf Road. We do them for free!
“You should never pay for an autograph (or a video message come to that).”
It appears to be a dig at the new trend of celebrities charging fans for personalised video messages, something that many of Sally Ann’s co-stars are currently capitalising on.
A fan replied to the tweet saying, “Exactly how it should be. Making cash from birthday messages is another issue for me. Don’t get me started.”
“Oh I hear ya” Sally replied.
