Coronation Street fans, get ready for some exciting viewing, because it's just been announced that a new character is set to join the cast, and she’s already become the fancy of people both on and off set.
Rana, played by Lancashire born actress Bhavna Limbachia, joins as an old friend of Alya’s who is initially just visiting, but makes her stay more longterm as she lands herself a job in the medical centre.
And it’s not long before the beauty gains the attention of quite a few admirers, noteable Ayla’s brother, Zeedan, and it seems he’s smitten with her too.
Will this make for any awkward situations between the two friends?
Producer Stuart Blackburn said:
“Rana is sharp, funny, utterly gorgeous and not a little manipulative. She's a girl who likes to get her own way and when she sets her sights on something, or someone ... well, Zeedan better have his wits about him!”
Talking about her new role Bhavna said:
"I'm absolutely thrilled to be joining the show. Being a proud Northerner - it's a dream come true!"
Bhavna has previously had roles in both Citizen Khan and Cuffs.
Can’t wait to see her in action? Then make sure you tune on on the February 19, as that’s when she’ll be making her debut on the ITV soap series.
