Coronation Street’s Cherylee Houston has spoken out about the harrowing hotel experience that left her humiliated and frustrated.
The Izzy Armstrong actress uses a wheelchair, and had booked into what she was assured was a fully accessible room – but was left in tears after it transpired that although the room itself was wheelchair friendly, the rest of the hotel was not.
Helpful.
Taking to Twitter to vent her frustrations, Cherylee chronicled the episode in a lengthy thread.
“Once again I booked a hotel on @bookingcom and again the hotel phoned up and said 'Is your wheelchair modern or old fashioned as there’s steps to the accessible room.' Me, 'Erm that’s not an accessible room'.
