Coronation Street fans have been watching with bated breath as the relationship between Yasmeen Nazir and Geoff Metcalfe becomes more and more toxic in recent months.
It began with Geoff staging a burglarly of Yasmeen’s jewellery and taking control of her finances, and he’s slowly been isolating her from her friends and granddaughter, Alya, too.
Things have come to a head in recent episodes, with Geoff convincing the town – and Yasmeen herself – that she has a drinking problem.
But now viewers have speculated that Yasmeen may be set to get her own back on her abusive husband, harking back to an episode more than a decade ago where Tracy Barlow killed Charlie Stubbs with an unassuming household item.
When Geoff becomes enraged - in this week’s episodes - that Yasmeen has been having lunch Cathy Matthew instead of cleaning the house, Geoff makes out that he has dust allergies which could kill him and promptly presents Yasmeen with a new hoover – but fans aren’t buying it.
“Geoff doesn't have any dust allergies when he sitting his fat ass in the pub all the time!!!” fumed one Twitter user. “Yasmin please kill him with your dyson vac #corrie."
