There’s shock on the cobbles as vicar Billy is under arrest for armed robbery!
Oh dear! Vicar Billy is in quite a bit of bother right now. Not only did he unleash his violent side and wallop Peter Barlow with a very meaty right hook recently, but next week he’s in trouble with the law once again!
Our dog-collar wearing chum and pillar of the Corrie community, is feeling the heat when the police rock up and arrest him in relation to an armed robbery. WHAT THE!?
Not surprisingly, Billy’s partner Todd, is staggered when it turns out his other halve's finger-prints have been found on a car that was used in a robbery 16 years ago.
And Billy’s pretty dismayed too!
“He’s horrified”, says Daniel Brocklebank who plays him, “He was in the police station a few weeks before for assaulting Peter but what he doesn’t realise is that the fingerprints he gave then, have brought up a cold case from 2001!” Uh oh.
There’s a small glimmer of hope when our resident legal eagle, that’ll be Adam Barlow, steps in to help out Billy. Acting as his solicitor he strong advises the vicar not to say anything at all to the coppers.
However when Bill gets back home he has some explaining to do to Todd who is left reeling when his partner makes a very shocking confession.
“Billy speaks about something that he has never spoken to anyone about to anyone before”, teases Daniel.
It looks like the couples plans to adopt Summer could be going up in smoke then! First assault, now possible armed robbery: the adoption agency are hardly going to be delighted with potential-parent Bill’s latest antics!
Todd, who likes nothing better than a bit of scheming and plotting, is adamant they must do everything to protect Summer but how will Billy feel about lying?
Meanwhile Adam, who like his colleague Todd, has no qualms in twisting the truth, sets to work preparing a statement denying Billy’s involvement in the robbery but will the vicar have a crisis of conscience and 'fess up?
We already know Corrie’s man of the cloth has a drug addict brother called Lee who he kept incredibly quiet about, he’s got a violent side to him and now there’s evidence connecting him to serious criminal activity. Ooh we say….just what other skeletons are lurking in Billy Boy’s cupboard?
Do you think Billy is guilty? And what other dark secrets could he be hiding? Let us know on Facebook or Twitter
