Todd Grimshaw has been desperately trying to win the affections of his ex Billy Mayhew, but since he left the Cobbles back in 2017, Billy has met and fallen in love with Paul Foreman and it's becoming increasingly obvious that Todd isn't going to get in between them.

When Todd admits to Eileen that he's considering taking a job in Bromsgrove so he doesn't have to be around them, Eileen is heartbroken that she could be losing her son once more.

Elsewhere, Seb Franklin is annoyed by Nina Lucas protesting traffic pollution in the street but after the pair get talking it's clear there's a connection. Hearing that Nina is moving on, Asha Alahan seeks comfort in the arms of her ex, Corey.

Michael Bailey has a lot on his plate with baby Gloria's health problems but when Ronnie breaks the news that he could be his biological dad, he doesn't know what to think.

Faye Windass is convinced she's going to prison, Simon Barlow tells Nick Tilsley a hurtful lie and Fiz Brown has an ultimatum for Tyrone Dobbs.

The week begins with Nina staging a protest against traffic pollution by blocking the road with furniture from the café. A furious Seb snaps at Nina saying he's got to get to work. Roy arrives and orders Nina to put the chairs and tables back, and as she and Seb continue to talk, it's clear they've got a lot in common.

At the hospital, Michael is on edge and confronts Ed about what Ronnie told him. Ed admits that it's true, Ronnie and Aggie had a relationship before they'd met and Ronnie could be Michael's biological father. With his head spinning, Michael vows to focus on his own family, Grace and Glory.

With Billy's heart still clearly with Paul, Todd tells Eileen he's considering taking a job elsewhere to get away from him. Eileen lays into Billy, telling him it's his fault she's losing her son again, and when Billy begs Todd not to leave on his account, Todd wants Billy to choose.

Meanwhile, Asha is nursing a broken heart following her split from Nina and is vulnerable to Corey's advances when he suggests hanging out that evening. When he shows up to the house later with a bunch of flowers to celebrate getting back together, he puts pressure on Asha to go upstairs but soon Dev arrives home and kicks him out. When Dev tells Asha that Nina and Seb are together, she's gutted.

After he's had a chance to process the bombshell, Michael pays a visit to Ed at work and tells him that no matter what happens, he'll always be his dad. Ed is touched, but his emotion is short-lived when Michael suggests getting the paternity test anyway, just to be sure, and Ed is clearly offended.

But Billy is in for a shock when Paul tells him that he's been seeing someone new and it's time they moved on. Having been convinced by Eileen to stay but already handed in his notice to the factory, Todd is job-hunting at the undertakers. When he hard-sells a customer into purchasing the most expensive funeral package, George is impressed.

Craig breaks the good news to Faye that Ray has been charged with sexual assault, but returning home from her hearing, Faye's still convinced she's going to prison. Later, she goes to visit Gary in prison and confides in him that Craig has been wanting to hang out, but she's pushing him away because she doesn't want him to put his life on hold while she's locked up.

Worried that Nick is onto the scent of what Leanne has been up to, Simon tells him that Leanne has moved on with someone new, leaving Nick crushed. When Nick next sees Natasha and mentions that things are over for good between him and Leanne, Natasha feels a flicker of hope.

Fiz confides in Maria about what happened between Tyrone and Alina. At the café, Tyrone stresses that if they're ever to move on, she has to find it in herself to truly forgive him. Fiz assures him that she wants to be with him but there's something he has to do for her. Later, Tyrone meets up with Alina and tells her that for the sake of his family, she has to move away.
