Well we never! Steve and Tracy are getting back together. Yes, really!
When it comes to exes, Steve McDonald has a list longer than Coronation Street itself.
The hapless cabbie has proved to be right little lothario and has been married numerous times to a whole range of lovely ladies including Vicky, Karen, (twice!), Becky, Tracy and most recently Michelle.
And now news reaches us that he’s set to be reunited with one of the most troublesome of all, Tracy Barlow!
Yep, Steve is going to be hopping into bed again with Deirdre’s fearsome daughter just in time for Christmas!
We’re expecting plenty of fireworks, (or should that be crackers give that it’ll be Yule), as the fiery pair patch up their very tattered relationship and give things another whirl.
However their outspoken offspring Amy is none too pleased about her parents getting back together.
Show boss, Kate Oates confirmed the news to The Sun saying, “Amy’s not happy about it, because she knows that they’re both trouble and on a very shallow level she’s used to things being as they are. She gets two birthday presents, two Christmas presents, she gets two sets of Christmas presents as kids of broken homes do.”
Yes, and we all know just how much the little madam likes getting her own way too.
Kate added: “You can see what sort of thing has drawn them back together – they’ve both been around the block so many times that actually in a way, maybe they should be brought back together for a while.”
Ahem Kate, we notice the use of the word, “WHILE”. These two spend the majority of their time and vast reserves of energy tearing strips off eachother so we’re not holding out hope for a long-term pairing.
However, we are very much looking forward to the fun, frolics and inevitable ding-dongs, while it lasts.
Tracy and Steve….who’d have though it eh?
