Coronation Street's resident lothario Steve McDonald could be set to walk down the aisle for the SEVENTH time

Steve McDonald's love life has been a constant source of laughs for Coronation Street fans throughout the 29 years he's been on the show.

But his marriage count is starting to get a bit ridiculous now, as he's apparently set to marry for the SEVENTH time.

According to The Sun, Steve, played by Simon Gregson, could be walking down the aisle with one of his previous wives once again - Tracy Barlow, played by Kate Ford.

Vicky Arden, 1995

Steve married the young Vicky Arden, played by Chloe Newsome, in 1995 - but unfortunately, it was for all the wrong reasons. He basically married heiress Chloe for the money, but was sent to prison a year later for handling stolen whisky. Vicky left him when he tried to shift the blame onto her in court.

Karen Phillips, 2001

Steve's second marriage also did not get off to a great start as he married the feisty Karen Phillips for a bet. However, they did actually fall in love for real, so they got married for a second time to make it count.

Karen McDonald, 2004

But silly ole Steve had enjoyed a one night stand with Tracy Barlow during a separation from Karen, and thus Amy was born. Karen and Tracy's hatred made it unbearable for Karen, and they separated once again.

Becky Granger, 2009

Steve had actually been engaged to Michelle Connor for a while, but then had an affair with his barmaid Becky. They seemed like the real deal, but Becky was not able to take on the behemoth that is Tracy Barlow and she eventually drove them apart too.

Tracy Barlow, 2012

Tracy got her wish in 2012 when she FINALLY got a ring on Steve's finger - but it must have been the shortest marriage on record as they separated at the RECEPTION. Becky revealed that Tracy had lied about miscarrying her and Steve's twins after falsely blaming Becky.

Michelle Connor, 2015

Ahh, we really thought this would be the one that stuck. Michelle and Steve got hitched in 2015, but after a rough patch a year later, Steve got cold feet and had a one night stand with Leanne Battersby, who became pregnant despite being infertile. Michelle was pregnant too, but tragically suffered a late miscarriage. When she discovered that Leanne had given birth to Steve's baby, it was understandably the last straw.

Tracy Barlow, 2018?

Steve and Tracy rekindled their love at Christmas 2017. Could this signal another marriage for Steve?

A Coronation Street source told the publication: "Steve McDonald might not be the best looking bloke in soap history, but boy has he had some romances.

"In the next few weeks he will be seen going down on one knee to Tracy, who duly accepts. It’s the seventh time he’s been married, but writers are still to decide if they’ll get down the aisle, as love is never straightforward in Weatherfield."

Oh HECK.

Even more scandalous is the rumour that Steve's dad Jim, played by Charlie Lawson, will be returning for the wedding.

His last stint on the Street was in 2014 after being in a bank robbery.

It'll be a McDonald reunion!
