Back in October, Coronation Street fans were dealt some fab news when actress Helen Flanagan announced that she was returning to the soap after five years out of the limelight - where she chose instead to focus on bringing up her adorable daughter Matilda Sinclair.
Helen will reprise her role as Rosie Webster, the daughter of Kevin and Sally, who we last saw in Whetherfield back in 2012.
We will see Rosie return from America, bringing back plenty of drama with her. According to details released by The Sun, Rosie will be placed right in the centre of a drug scandal as soon as she returns.
Revealing that police will search the Webster family home for cocaine when she arrives in Weatherfield and her sister Sophie will make a startling discovery when the police leave.
A Coronation Street source told the paper: “Trouble is never far away from the Websters.
“This is the reason they wanted Helen back as Rosie as she immediately brings great storylines with her. Rosie tells Sophie someone planted the drugs on her, and is as shocked as her sister when she sees the white powder.”
"The girls panic and decide to bury the drugs but Adam Barlow finds out what they have done and offers to sell the drugs for a fee.
“But, Kevin’s business is struggling following an arson attack and he needs money. So he takes matters into his own hands.”
Coronation Street's super producer Kate Oates is really excited to have the ledgendary character back on screen: "The Webster's have missed Rosie and so have we.
"With Sophie away on holiday with her sister it seemed like the ideal time to bring Rosie back home with her for a visit.
"We are delighted that Helen is as keen to explore what Rosie has been up to away from the cobbles as we are."
Coronation Street are supposedly lining up some explosive scenes for Rosie and the Webster family in 2017 and are not giving away any clues to how long she'll be back on the cobbles for.
Could she be persuaded to stay for longer? We really hope so.
And if you can't wait for Rosie Webster's return, Coronation Street are welcoming another huge characters this festvive season - Toyah Battersby!
Toyah will give her sister Leanne the shock of her life when she rocks up in Whetherfield on Christmas Day, begging for a place to stay.
