Coronation Street viewers will be relieved to hear that Phelan's doom is beginning in tonight's episode...

It's the moment we've all been waiting for - Phelan will FINALLY start to lose the control he has over the residents of Coronation Street.

We've known for a while now that the evil killer, who has been terrorising the cobbles for the last five years, would meet his end at some point this year.

Show bosses were being very tight-lipped over the details around his exit, but we now know that the lake at the Mill - where his victim's bodies are buried - will be drained, spelling trouble for the builder.

The scaffolding falls onto him

As the weather gets worse, the scaffolding falls down onto Phelan and he's trapped in the concrete and can't pull himself out. He begins to lose consciousness as the concrete keeps rising - will Tim and Eileen arrive in time?

Another body floats up

Phelan puts both of the bodies into a column mould in the foundations of the mill - he then turns on the concrete machine.

Phelan gets stuck in the concrete

But he can't then climb out by the time he's got in there. He ends up stuck in the unset concrete while it's still pouring with the bodies he's tried to bury.

And we won't have long to wait to see him start to panic, as the lake will begin being drained in TONIGHT'S episode.

Everything will kick off big-time in Monday's (5th) episode, but we're looking forward to seeing Phelan start to panic!

As we know, Phelan will retrieve the bodies of Andy Carver and Vinny Ashford from the lake and try to bury them in cement in a column mould.

However, the villain will fall into the cement and all looks lost while his wife Eileen is blissfully unaware - throwing a party for the street's residents to get to know him better because she can't see why everyone hates him...

Come on Eileen, surely you're not that dim?!

Thankfully, we have it on good authority that she'll FINALLY see Phelan for what he really is fairly soon...
