It was revealed earlier in the year that Kylie Platt would soon be leaving the cobbles as the character’s actress Paula Lane confirmed she was leaving this summer after five years to have her second child.

Kylie murdered ex Callum Logan (Sean Ward) during that now infamous Corrie Live episode with one swing of a heavy metal wrench.

Her husband David (Jack P Shephard) helped to stash his body underneath the flat, and as the body was unearthed David was in the frame.

However, with Tony Stewart (Terence Maynard) being framed for committing the murder, it now seems Kylie’s crime has returned to haunt her.

After deciding the best course of action is to move away from Weatherfield, Kylie unexpectedly passes away.

But why?

Corrie bosses are keeping the details of her death under wraps, but have released the following teaser:

What could this mean for poor Kylie?

And this means David will be left heartbroken, along with solely looking after the pair’s two children and keeping their big secret about Callum’s murder.

Speaking about her exit, Paula revealed: "It was very emotional to film the scenes knowing that I would never return and her death has huge consequences for David and all the family."

Kylie’s final episodes will air the week beginning Monday 11 July.
