Jim McDonald returns to Coronation Street

How will Jim McDonald's family react when he returns from prison?

It's been a while since we've heard Jim's dulcet Northern Irish tones bounce across the cobbles of Coronation Street.

But the Corrie legend makes a shock return in the Rovers next week.

He makes his grand entrance while son Steve McDonald is chained to the bar on his stag do. Steve is taken aback and angry when his dad walks through the doors.

Jim goes after Steve when he storms out the pub, to try and explain things and smooth it all over.

Liz McDonald (who Jim will no doubt call 'Elizabeth' in his usual way) steps in and says she will talk to Steve for him.

But what's in store for Jim on the street? Will he make amends with Steve? And is his love story with Liz going to gain yet another chapter?

We'll have to tune in to find out.

Elsewhere, Sophie Webster SNOGS her mum's friend Paula Cunlifee, Roy Cropper collapses (we can't cope with this) and David Platt goes to battle (kinda) with Dev Alahan.
