When discussing Kylie and David Platt, Paula said: "It is heartbreaking really because I could have seen them last a lifetime together."

The 30-year-old actress also confessed: "I have so many friends here and Jack really is great to work with, I love him to bits, it is going to be gut wrenching, it is safe to say the performances the viewers will be seeing will be real I think."

As for the events after Kylie's death, Jack Shepherd (David Platt) promised that his character would revert to his previous ways and spiral out of control.

He told Good Morning Britain: "David has to try and keep it together for the sake of the children but he wants to blame someone for what has happened.

"He is angry at the world - he and Kylie were so close to having the perfect life and now he is a single dad and a widower.

"He is lashing out and behaving in a way which really starts to worry his family. There's a lot more drama in the coming months as David struggles to come to terms with losing Kylie."
