Poor ol' David Platt sure has had it rough and it looks like things are about to get much worse.
Since Kylie Platt died after being stabbed by thug Clayton Hibbs, David appears to be dealing well with her death.
But things are going to take a dramatic turn in upcoming scenes that will see David get beaten up.
Jack P Shepherd (who plays David) has revealed that although on the surface David looks fine, underneath he's is hiding a lot of pain from Kylie's death.
So when Gail asks David to go to counselling, he agrees - but rather than focusing on the therapist, he wants to look at Clayton's half-brother Macca's social media page to find out what he's doing.
Jack revealed: "Because Clayton is away in prison and awaiting trial, David cannot get to him to carry out his revenge plot, so the only thing he can do is get to Macca, Clayton's brother.
"David wants to cause Macca pain to make him suffer for his own loss."
And in scenes that are yet to air, Coronation Street viewers will see David go to the Dog and Gun to seek revenge on Macca.
However on his way there, things don't go to plan and David ends up being attacked...
Jack explains David's reaction: "David tries to get away ... he is very accepting that he will be beaten to a pulp - but the timing for him is all wrong.
"David says 'Fine, do what you want, I don’t care, but right now I need to get into that pub'. The guy is confused so David says 'I can’t explain right now…' but BOOMPF boompf - he gets attacked."
Jack also revealed just how much Kylie's death has affected his character: "This shows David’s fragile mindset at the moment; he is so hell-bent on getting to Macca that he is not bothered about getting a few punches as long as this doesn’t interfere with his revenge plan because that is his priority."
We're sure this is going to be a rocky ride for the Corrie favourite and the 28-year-old actor also confessed that he's doesn't think anything will snap David out his plan for revenge: "Obviously Kylie meant everything to him and this is now his goal.
"When David gets an idea in his head, he will not stop at anything until he has accomplished whatever he needs to or until the point where he is physically unable to do any more...for example dead."
We can't wait to see what happens.
