As loyal viewers will already know, Kylie Platt murdered Callum Logan (Sean Ward) during that now infamous Corrie Live episode.
All it took was one swing of a heavy metal wrench, and her evil drug-dealing ex-boyfriend was no more.
Her husband David (Jack P Shepherd) helped her to stash the body underneath his mum’s granny flat, but, as soap fans all know, murders don’t tend to stay secret for very long in Weatherfield…
And, in upcoming scenes, Coronation Street viewers will watch in horror as a shock secret incident drives police to the Platt house.
There, they begin searching Gail's granny flat - and it’s not long before they’ve discovered a rotting corpse.
It’s safe to say that these scenes could be pretty gruesome, as they’ve switched the TV schedule around so that they can air post-watershed.
Which should put paid to rumours that Callum has secretly been alive and well all this time, eh?
Officers quickly cordon off the annexe as a murder scene, before warning David, Kylie and Sarah (Tina O’Brien) that they believe they’ve finally found Callum’s body.
With Sarah already a nervous wreck, it seems very likely that a little gentle probing from police will cause the young mum to reveal e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g.
And, as Paula Lane recently confirmed that she’s quitting the soap (for good, this time!), it’s safe to predict that the discovery of Callum’s corpse will mark the beginning of the end of her time in Weatherfield.
The talented actress previously wrote on Twitter: “So it's official, I can now confirm I'm leaving Coronation Street this summer after a wonderful 5 years.
“It's time to fly the nest…”
Coronation Street's producer Stuart Blackburn said: "Paula is one of the most talented and dedicated actors I know, and in Kylie she has created an unforgettable Corrie character.
"I for one will miss both the character and the actor, and on behalf of all at Coronation Street wish Paula all the love and luck in the world.
“I’m certain that Paula's future will be full of continued success."
Whether her character winds up in prison, going on the run, or (dare we say it?) dead, Paula is going to be very busy when she leaves the soap.
Back in February, the 29-year-old revealed that she and husband Tom Shaw are expecting a sibling for their son Arthur later this year.
She wrote: "News just in...The new addition to the Shaw clan will be arriving summer time and @SirTomShaw and I are thrilled! #doubletrouble".
Coronation Street airs these scenes on Wednesday, May 25 and Thursday, May 26 at 9pm on ITV.
