Bethany Platt is still under evil Nathan Curtis' spell in Coronation Street but will Sarah stop her from leaving with him?
Sarah Platt realises just how deeply Nathan Curtis' claws are into her daughter Bethany next week. After this week's dramatic events, Sarah and Gary try their best to convince Bethany that Nathan is a monster, but she won't hear a bad word about him. She even calls at Nathan's flat where he, Mel and Neil feed her a pack of lies. Nathan persuades her to tell Sarah they've broken up. But it's all part of his plan...
Obviously, Sarah is delighted when she hears the news and when a uniformed Neil arrives at the house, she's happy to let Bethany talk to him. She watches through the window, pleased that Bethany is talking to the police - unaware of what's really being discussed.
Later in the week, the Platts spoil Bethany on her 17th birthday and she feels a pang of guilt. Neil arrives and tells her the plan is on and she needs to be ready with her passport.
Sarah comes home and finds Bethany looking for her passport, the devastated mum soon realises that her daughter is still under Nathan's spell. And when she discovers Bethany about to burn herself with a cigarette because she's let Nathan down - Sarah feels out of her depth.
Tina O'Brien, who plays the horrified mum, says: "Now that Sarah has an awareness of what Nathan is up to, Bethany is still under his spell so she is trying to help her coming to terms with what has happened and protect her from Nathan who Bethany still feels that she is in love with."
Will Sarah be able to get through to her daughter?
