Coronation Street and EastEnders will go head-to-head next week due to a rare schedule overlap
An hour long special focusing on the aftermath of the factory roof collapse means Corrie will start at 7.30pm and finish at 8.30pm, instead of being split into the usual double bill.
Next Friday [29] soap fans will have to choose which TV show is their favourite, as the last half an hour will overlap with EastEnders which starts at 8pm.

The Eastenders start time was pushed back by half an hour last week when Corrie aired an hour long special. But, this time the two soaps will battle for viewings. It will be the first schedule overlap since New Years Day.
This is not the only scheduling swap for Corrie – the show will not air this Friday, 22 March but on Sunday 24 March instead. In place of the beloved soap, ITV will be showing a Euro 2020 qualifier between England and the Czech Republic.
Now is no time to miss an episode as Corrie set for a dramatic week.
On Monday, the Underworld roof collapsed with the factory workers trapped inside. The workers were protesting, by locking themselves in the factory, after Carla’s plans for the underwear manufacturers were revealed.
Sally and Gina took to the roof to put up banners but an argument between them caused the already unsafe roof to give way.
The dramatic scenes on Wednesday and Friday will show 13 characters fighting for their lives while viewers will be left wondering who tampered with the roof and which cast members will survive.
BBC soap EastEnders also have a big episode planned as Tiffany Butcher and her ongoing troubles with gang leader, Evie Steele, escalate.

In other Corrie news, it has been revealed that Gina Sneddon, played by Connie Hyde will not return to the Cobbles.
"Connie is still very much part of the Corrie family but Gina’s time on the street has come to a natural end - for now," an insider said.
"The character could return, but it won’t be as a permanent fixture and Gina won't be living on the cobbles anymore."
Connie’s character, Gina, plays a major part in the roof collapse, and her final scenes will show her being treated for her injuries alongside her sister Sally Metcalfe.
