Closer’s CBB columnist Nicola McLean: ‘Katie isn’t bullying – Alicia put herself in the firing line by stealing’

“I was on the panel of Big Brother's Bit on the Side last night and I had a ball. I love that show, it's so much fun talking all things Big Brother, and I have to say this year’s line-up seems to have given the majority of people the same opinions.

Most people seem to loathe Perez, absolutely love Michelle, be pleasantly surprised by Katie, and think Nadia is a busy body.

They have no opinion on Kavana, think Keith is nice but doesn't bring a lot to the house, assume Cami Li is cray, and think Chloe is an overreacting brat.

Patsy is sweet but emotional, Alexander speaks few words (but when he does speak, is powerful), Calum has definitely changed his playboy image and Alicia?

Well, Alicia is a victim of bullying!

Was Katie bullying Alicia?
Was Katie bullying Alicia?

So, that's a great place to start.

Firstly, bullying is such a strong word and shouldn't be thrown around lightly. I don't think Katie is bullying Alicia at all, but I do think she gets Katie's back up with her views and the fact she doesn't seem to say much.

Katie's nature, on the other hand, is to say what she feels, and Alicia put herself in the firing line by stealing bananas.

A task was set to entertain the King and Queen of the Fairies and, while I really hoped the task of talent show would bring some fun to this extremely explosive house, my hopes were quickly dashed when it became an opportunity for the celebs to have a dig at one another.

Michelle Visage and Katie Hopkins both chose to tell their housemates what they thought of 'their talents’ - and some of the comments upset Alicia.

Were you surprised by Michelle's comments to Alicia?

Michelle told Alicia: 'I would rather chew tin foil than hear your voice talk about fruit ever again.'

So it's not just Katie that Alicia grates on then?

Kavana performing his hit song I Can Make You Feel Good was fun, but I felt sorry him when Alexander gave a recital of his track Criticise and showed Kavana how it's done…

Everyone enjoyed his performance, especially Patsy, who seemed to be reenacting that famous When Harry Met Sally scene as her talent.

With regards to Chloe, I have to say, after all the complaints of sexism there has been this series (and most involving her), I'm shocked that she would tell Perez to kiss her arse - and then get her bare bum cheeks out for all to see.

Was that really such a good idea?

There are a lot of double standards going on in the house; if Ken was still there, would he have been expected to close his eyes? #justsaying

What did you think of King Perez and Queen Cami's nominations?

Perez, of course, cried.

It seemed Chloe had sealed her own fate when Big Brother told Queen Cami Li and the King Perez to pick four people to face the first public nomination.

As a result of Chloe's words and actions, Perez picked her to be nominated. He also chose Michelle Visage, while Cami picked Alicia, and Alexander because she thought he wanted good food!

Who will go? You decide…

More importantly, who will go in? That’s for Big Brother to decide. We have been told we have a new housemate entering tonight during the live show. I’m so excited, because rumour is it’s Katie Price!

Ohhhh hurry up 9pm – my Prosseco is already chilling x
