Closer magazine's TV Editor, Hannah Wright, caught up with the brand new presenters of I'm A Celeb: Extra Camp - Vicky Pattison, Stacey Solomon, Joe Swash and Chris Ramsey to talk all things Jungle ahead of the 16th series of the ITV reality show...
Your ITV2 spin-off show has a new name - Extra Camp - and a new look. What's different?
Chris Ramsey: It's going to look like the jungle camp. But we're not sleeping there, no! We'll have celeb guests, and the night after people get booted out they'll be on the show.
Stacey Solomon: There'll be competitions like: "Can we beat how the camp did in the trials today?" And Ant and Dec will be popping in, it's going to be such a laugh.
Joe Swash: Last year, Laura was the main anchor of the show, whereas this year we're all going to take responsibility. Everybody's going to be kept on their toes...
Will you be eating the same grim stuff the celebs have to eat in the trials?
Chris: Like crocodile vagina?
Joe: Once you've had kangaroo vagina, I can't imagine a crocodile nunny is much different. The worst tasting animal in there is camel – it's horrible.
Vicky Pattison: Camel's not nice, I had camel penis...
Stacey: I'd rather eat the vagina of any animal. Do you know what's lovely though? Possum sausages.
Chris: I look forward to having an opinion on all of these things!
Stacey and Joe – as the loved-up jungle couple , can we expect lots of on-screen PDAs?
Stacey: I don't like being touched or kissed in front of everyone – I'm quite a prude! I'm like: "Oh my God, get off!" We're more like mates anyway, and we're not even that coupley these days. I'm joking!
Joe: I think you've got to respect the other people you're working with. We're girlfriend and boyfriend but we've got our own careers going on. We go to work as individuals; not as a couple.
Vicky: They're very professional but I wouldn't mind if they were dead tactile with each other; I think it's lush, me.
Vicky, are you ready to give up your jungle crown as reigning I'm A Celeb! champion?
Vicky: No, absolutely not! I want a boy to win this year so I will still be the reigning queen! Can you imagine if someone comes on and she's funnier and wittier than me? I couldn't stand it! I'm not ready to say goodbye to all the amazing things that have happened yet.
What are Ant and Dec like in real life?
Chris: I met them for the first time the other day and I phoned my mam and said: "Mam, they're exactly like you'd want them to be!" Honestly – they are proper kings in the North East; everybody loves them.
Stacey: They've always got time for everyone. They're like the role models of what you want to be like.
Vicky: It's Ant's birthday on 18th November and mine on the 16th. I was like: "So, are we having a big joint birthday, lad?" He was like: "I'm going to regret getting you on this aren't I?"!
What are you going to do in your downtime?
Vicky: I'm going to drink, kiss boys and meet koalas. I hope I meet my dream man out there – it's about time! I feel if they (the Australians) know me off Geordie Shore (a huge hit in Oz), there's nothing I can do that's worse...
Joe: I'm going to eat bacon. Australia has got the best bacon – I literally get bacon sweats.
So are you all ready to flash the flesh Down Under?
Vicky: (Indicating an empty plate in the interview room we're in) That was a full plate of cookies when we got in today...
Stacey: Every day Joe's like: "Right – gym?" I'm like: "Yeah, I'll meet you. See you there..."
Joe: Every year I leave it until about a month before we go in and I'm like: "Right, that's enough time to train isn't it?"
Stacey: He's got a great body and he works so hard at the gym.
Vicky: Aah, look at these two!
