Big Brother hosts Emma Willis and Rylan Clark will would never enter the house in the future as they think it would put too much of a strain on their husbands.
Ahead of the start of Celebrity Big Brother next month, the pair imagined what it would be like to enter the house for the next series.
Rylan, who hosts Celebrity Big Brother’s Bit On The Side, and has previously triumphed on CBB, says another stint could cause problems with his husband, former Big Brother housemate Dan Neal, even if they went in together.
He told the Daily Star Sunday: “Going in as a couple will make or break you and nine times out of ten it breaks you.
“A lot of people say ‘they’ve got each other’, as if that makes it easier. But actually it means they’ve got each other to worry about as well as worrying about themselves.
“Both me and Dan have done Big Brother and we both loved it but if we did it together it would ruin our Big Brother experience.
“There’s no way we could go in together – we’d probably kill each other. But also if someone looked at him funny, I’d want to have a row. So I wouldn’t enjoy it.”
Host of the main show Emma agreed, saying she would worry about her husband, McBusted star Matt Willis, coping with life in such a confined space.
She said: “We’d be fine as a couple but I think we’d be boring TV. We’d be terrified, so we’d just sit in a corner going ‘Oh my God, what are we doing?’
“Matt would go out of his brain with boredom because he always has to have something to do.”
Having worked on the Channel 5 series they have a fair idea of what Big Brother might have up his sleeve for the celebrities too.
Rylan said: “We know where all the cameras are, how the doors lock, how it works as a TV set. We’d be looking at the two-way mirrors and we’d know who was behind there.”
