The 26-year-old Big Brother's Bit On The Side presenter said there a lot of big personalities going into the house next month, which could cause a lot of friction.
He told OK!: "It's a risky line-up. Normally you can gauge how a series will pan out but I've got no idea this year. There are too many feisty people in there."
On how he thinks Katie Hopkins will do in the house, he said: "She'd be great, I don't know if she'll be who we think she is or a more real person behind it all."
Other celebs rumoured to be heading into the house are Jake Quickenden, Katie Price and Mel B's sister Danielle Brown.
Calum Best has also allegedly signed up, and Rylan thinks it will be good to catch up with him.
He said: "It's been so long since he's done reality TV, so it would be nice to see who he is now."
One thing former X Factor star Rylan is looking forward to this year is the huge twist Big Brother has in store for the housemates.
He said: "There's a launch night surprise and that will feature heavily on this year's twisted fairy tale theme. It's going to be amazing."
Celebrity Big Brother starts on January 7 at 9pm on Channel 5.
