Pregnant Catherine Tyldesley, who plays Eva Price in ITV's Corrie, is fast approaching her baby's due date - which means that she will need to leave the soap for some time due to her maternity leave,
And now the actress has revealed that her character will be driven away from Weatherfield by Todd (Bruno Langley), who is desperate to drive a wedge between her and his brother Jason (Ryan Thomas).
In upcoming episodes, viewers will watch in horror as Todd convinces Jason that his father (Terence Maynard) and girlfriend are having an affair…
And his reaction could be set to destroy his relationship with Eva for good.
Speaking to the Radio Times, Catherine said: “Eva is utterly shocked and disgusted with Jason’s behaviour.
"She wants to spend the rest of her life with Jason. The way he reacts and the fact he didn’t trust her has broken her heart."
She added: “He loves Eva just as much as she loves him and he knows he’s messed up on a huge scale.
"He’s scared he’ll lose her now.”
And it seems as if he may have done just that, as Jason's attempts to win back Eva with tickets to New York prove to be unsuccessful.
Instead, Eva decides to move in with her grandmother… who just so happens to live in France.
Catherine explained: “Jason will be like a bear with a sore head without Eva. They’re so right for each other.
“I got upset reading the script because, as a viewer, I think they’re one of the few Corrie couples that stand a chance of a happy ending."
She finished darkly: "Things could get very nasty if Jason finds out what Todd has done.”
But don't worry, Corrie fans - there is still hope for Jason and Eva, despite sources claiming his character is set to have a one-night stand with his ex, Sarah-Louise Platt.
In fact, Catherine - who is due to give birth in March - is already planning to return to the Street straight after her maternity leave.
She said: “I can’t wait to see her storm back onto those cobbles. I’m really hoping for some more fab storylines when I return. I’m sure I’ll be ready for it!”
