From Caroline Flack to Jamie Laing: The most embarrassing showbiz social media slip-ups

Have you ever accidentally posted something to social media that was only intended for a select few. We’ve all been there – but thankfully, nobody notices our Instagram mistakes. These celebrities aren’t as lucky…

Caroline Flack

fails-2

X Factor host Caroline was so concerned with showing off her fabulous hair and make-up that she didn’t realise she’d exposed a nipple on Instagram. She quickly swapped it out for a cropped version, but not before her delighted male fans reposted it dozens of times.

Madonna

Last year Madge shared an innocent snap of son Rocco and his friends. Well, innocent save for the fact Rocco was 13-years-old at the time and holding a bottle of gin. She captioned it: “The party has just begun! Bring it! 2014 [sic].” Unsurprisingly, Madonna received a fair bit of flack from her followers and promptly removed the photo.

Robin Thicke

We bet this is one photo Robin Thicke wishes he’d never taken. At a 2013 VMAs after party, the Blurred Lines singer posed for a snap with a female fan. But a mirror behind them revealed the sordid truth and showed married Robin groping the woman’s bum. Just a few months later, Robin’s wife Paula Patton filed for divorce.

Khloe Kardashian

It’s all well and good being able to poke fun at yourself, but Khloe Kardashian went a bit too far with an Instagram post last year – by referring to herself, Kim, Kourtney as the ‘KKK’. After huge backlash, Khloe deleted the snap. But Kourtney’s estranged partner Scott Disick reposted it with the caption, “And a Jew" – meaning himself.

Rihanna

She’s not called Bad Gal Riri for nothing – the Barbadian beauty got herself BANNED from Instagram after positing some very risqué snaps from a French photo shoot. She was kicked off the site for six-months before being allowed to return.

Michelle Keegan

In 2013 Michelle Keegan caused social media meltdown when a snap of some boobs was uploaded to her Twitter account. Of course everyone assumed they the actress’s assets – but she later insisted she’d been hacked by a friend.

Lauren Goodger

Former TOWIE star Lauren came under fire last year when she uploaded this photo [left]. Her fans were quick to assume it was her – but a US model later blasted Lauren for stealing her belfie [right]! Lauren later insisted she’d never pretended the snap was her.

Jamie Laing

Poor Jamie Laing. In 2013 he was left red-faced when his girlfriend at the time, Tara Keeney, posted this naked picture of him online. It wasn’t up for very long, but the damage was done.

Alex Mytton

Sticking with the Made In Chelsea theme, we bet Alex Mytton wasn’t expecting THIS when he photobombed girlfriend Nicola Hughes’ selfie sesh. Within seconds his penis was posted all over social media. That’ll teach him.

Liam Payne

Something you probably shouldn’t do when you have literally millions of young fans looking up to you is pose on the roof ledge of a 34-storey building. That’s what Liam Payne did last year – and it didn’t go down well with his followers. He was quick to apologise for the snap and deleted it.
