TV presenter Anne Robinson has revealed that she is to step down from role on Watchdog after 15 years in the job.
The 70-year-old has presented the BBC consumer show since 2000, and many have come to know the red head as synonymous with the popular programme.
The decision comes as it is revealed that Anne will begin filming a brand new project with the BBC.
Following the announcement Anne said: "It's been an honour to be part of the most important consumer show in Britain."
Controller of BBC One Charlotte Moore said: "Annie is a much-treasured part of the BBC One family and I’m grateful for everything she has done on Watchdog for nearly 15 years. I’m looking forward to her returning to the channel with a new factual series next year."
Watchdog has become a BBC staple, charting the misery of consumers up and down the country and bringing justice to those who have been wronged and short changed.
The show will return for a new series this autumn and Anne’s replacement is expected to be announced soon.
